A timbered jewel box atop a pink plinth, crowned with a treetop plunge pool looking out to the ocean. Just minutes from the crashing waves of Pecatu, this two-bedroom home offers a refined take on open-air tropical living. Designed by a Los Angeles–based studio, the home rises above lush landscaping to capture ocean breezes, treetop views, and vivid sunsets, creating a sense of calm, privacy, and understated drama. 

The architecture unfolds across two stacked volumes, where a richly timbered structure sits atop a soft pink concrete base. An open-air living, dining, and kitchen area is framed by operable wooden louvers, flowing seamlessly toward the signature upper-level plunge pool that appears to float among the trees. A sculptural foyer and adjacent yoga shala complete the experience, offering spaces for both gathering and quiet retreat. 

Art and craft are woven throughout, from a hand-painted ceiling mural by Los Angeles artist Ryan Tyler Martinez to handcrafted Balinese tiles by Philip Lakeman. Layered textures, playful forms, and curated artworks bring warmth and personality to the timber structure, resulting in a design-forward sanctuary defined by originality, soul, and architectural integrity in Bali.
